I often visit some of my favorite locations for shooting at different times of the year and find that what I pass by six months earlier is now a scene I can’t pass up. The boulder where my tripod is positioned and all of the rocks you see in the foreground would be underwater in the spring, but by fall the river level has dropped; exposing what is under the churning water earlier in the year. The next time you’re out at one of your favorite spots, take a moment and try to imagine what it would look like in a different season. What kind of trees are around, will wild flowers be blooming and will the water be frozen or flowing? These are just a few of the questions you should be asking yourself the next time you out enjoying the ever changing world God created.
