While sunny weather may seem like the obvious time to shoot outdoors, I’ve found there are many advantages to shooting in gloomy weather. Overcast days provide a softer light, with less contrast between sun and shade you’ll find more detail in the shadows. Especially on rainy days, colors appear richer and more vibrant, foliage looks lush. I enjoy shooting in all kinds of weather, test it out for yourself, you might be surprised at what you find.
